Formed in 1989, Orange Recycling Services is a full service commercial / industrial recycling company, operating primarily in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area. We address the rising problem of solid waste disposal faced by businesses today. According to the latest State Recycling and Solid Waste Management Plan, 70% of the solid waste generated in North Carolina comes from the commercial and industrial sector. This is our niche, focus and strength.
In 1989, we had a vision that commercial recycling would be a high growth segment of the waste disposal industry. We have built our reputation and solidified our market position to take advantage of this need. Our solution to the solid waste problem is to design, implement and service comprehensive waste diversion and recycling programs for businesses, institutions and industry. This comprehensive approach helps reduce operating costs for our customers while reducing waste. We see ourselves as problem solvers, then as a service company. We provide full service (floor to floor collection) recycling programs to the commercial, industrial and institutional sector by tailoring each program to each individual customer and their needs. We try to make our programs user friendly so they will be effective. Our customers are not in the recycling business - we are. Our customers expect us to provide them with diversion systems that make for more efficient handling of their waste streams while not impeding their operations.
We recycle a wide variety of materials for businesses - from paper, aluminum, glass, wood, plastic and specialty metals. We listen to our customers and provide them with top quality recycling and diversion programs. Not only do we remove recyclable materials from the areas where they become waste, we also provide other services as well.

- We sell or lease equipment, such as balers, compactors, choppers, open top containers, carts or semi-trailers to make recycling convenient and economically feasible for our customers.
- We provide consulting services, such as waste characterizations or waste audits as well as materials flow analysis.

As you can see, our main emphasis is a three tiered approach for the market and our customer base - Recycling, Shredding and Waste Hauling.
