Creativity needs structure. The links on the right refer to projects that I have developed, written, collected, adapted, and used in my classrooms.
I believe in teaching through projects since students can express themselves in a structured way through project work. My projects usually target various age levels and can be adapted to the needs of specific teachers, age levels, language levels, and likes.
Project Based Learning
Albert Einstein (1879-1955) said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge”
Project work promotes divergent thinking, which is the ability to find as many possible answers to a particular
problem, generating new and original solutions.
I believe in the value of project work because of these elements:
Relevance - students deal in authentic issues and the activities go according to the curriculum
Research, information literacy - students investigate and process material.
Individual Attention - students feel noticed and important.
Ownership - students choose topics relevant to them
personally.
Imagination, HOTS - topics and styles are diverse
Sharing, collaboration - students do collaborative work, and oral group activities.
Effective Learning - students are active, accountable, independent.
Enjoyment - teachers and students have fun!
