INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING AT THE LARK THEATER?
The staff of the Lark Theater in Larkspur (at 549 Magnolia Ave.) is inviting Opera House volunteer ushers to consider helping out at some special presentations. Volunteers are specifically needed for
- the Metropolitan Opera's Live in HD performances on Saturdays at 10am (call-time usually 9am),
- the National Theatre Live broadcasts from London on Thursday evenings (call-time usually 6:30pm),
- the Bolshoi Ballet.
Volunteers are also needed for encore performances on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays (call-times vary).
Volunteer assignments include ticket-taking, handing out programs, and helping patrons locate their seats inside the theater for reserved-seat presentations.
Volunteers have seats in the theater when the program begins, so that they may enjoy the performances. During intermissions, they are again on duty to answer questions and direct patrons to the rest rooms, water fountain, etc. They are also expected to stay after the performance ends to hand out fliers of coming events and/or assist in theater cleanup. Volunteers receive free drinks, popcorn, etc. to enjoy during the screenings.
You are also invited to think about assisting at some regular screenings: taking tickets, enjoying a film, and then handing out fliers at the end.
If you are interested in helping out at the Lark, please contact Carol Staley by e-mail <carol103034@gmail.com> or by telephone at 415-302-2134, and mention that you are a volunteer usher at the Opera House.
