The ONA organised a workshop at the industry's most important conference in the world: the FTTH Conferece 2013, which will take place in February 2013:
The ONA has organised, together with the Belgian national project TERRAIN and the European project OASE, a workshop on Municipal Fibre Networks:
"Second Workshop on Municipal Fiber Networks"
The main goal of the workshop was the spreading knowledge from existing fiber network initiatives towards different players involved in potential future deployments. The workshop dealt with expected revenues as well as indirect effects, potential synergies in deployment and operations, and suitable business models. About 80 people form the industry, public administration and research community joined in discussion both during the sessions, the final panel discussion, coffee and lunch breaks and networking reception.
The Open Network Alliace was present at NextGen 12 Agenda, the yearly forum for digital networks gathering operators, system vendors, politicians and researchers from across Europe. Open Network Alliance's interim board chair, Crister Mattsson, held a presentation about Open Network experiences and challenges.

ECOC 2012 Amsterdam, Netherlands:
"FTTH and open access networks: Technology, business and regulatory challenges"
ECOC is the largest conference on optical communication in Europe, one of the most prestigious and long-lasting events in this field worldwide, and the meeting place for everyone in the fibreoptic communication technology industry.
