The open Network Alliance

The Open Network Alliance is an association with the aim of exploring the opportunities and the challenges of Open Networks.

ONF was founded in June 2012 and was officially launched at ECOC 2012 in Amsterdam. The ONF is currently being joining by more and more members.

This forum is a place for discussion among operators, service and application providers, vendors, researchers, investors, and policy makers, with the aim to highlight challenges and discuss possible answers and solutions.

The ONA's mission is

• To discuss open networks within the industry and policy makers

• To identify current problems and challenges

• To encourage research work and standardisation on these topics

• To establish an interdisciplinary platform for discussion and information exchange
