After completing this subject, the group will:

1. Explain how the Bible correlates to a current issue

2. Analyze the reason for the current event

3. Identify key parts of both the Bible event and the current event

4. Describe why the topic was chosen

5. Demonstrate their topic using both facts and opinions

This Group Activity

For this activity, you will work in groups to research a story either from the Old Testament or the New Testament in the Bible and compare it to a current issue. You will need to incorporate at least five sources into this topic. These sources can be anything of your choosing. The paper must be 8-10 pages long with a title and sources. After you write the paper, you will then work together to create a presentation using PowerPoint or Prezi to summarize the topic. The presentation has at least 10 slides (not including title and sources). The week after the assignment, each group will designate someone to introduce the topic via Blackboard and give a presentation.

These will be tentatively scheduled for the Tuesday after submitting from 7-8 pm. Depending on how many groups we have, we may have to schedule several Tuesdays or just one. The week after the presentation, you will emailed a peer review to "grade" your classmates.
