I am a Professor of Finance and the Head of Finance and Accounting Department at the University of Exeter Business School. My research and teaching expertise covers subjects such as corporate finance, banking, and capital markets.
Output from my research has been cited in publications of the European Commission, European Parliament, Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
My research has been funded by the European Commission, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the UKRI (ESRC), and it has been featured in the Blue Sky Blog of Columbia Law School and the Harvard Law School Blog. I have also published in non-academic media such as The Conversation. I serve as an Associate Editor for the British Accounting Review.
