I am Endowed Professor of Labour Economics at the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam and at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market at Maastricht University.

My main research interests include: economics of crime, labour economics, economics of education, micro-econometrics, public economics.

I co-organise the Transatlantic Workshop on the Economics of Crime or TWEC. I am happy to announce that the forthcoming 11th edition which will be held at the Tinbergen Institute in Amsterdam in September/October 2019. More information to follow soon!
