We let the house with the objective to keep the cost for people staying as low as possible.
The cleaning is in your control and the requirement is to leave it clean and tidy ready for the next guest. The electricity which provides heating, hot water and cooking you pay for what you use- details below.
To secure a week you need to provide your details of address and names of who is staying and pay a £50 holding deposit. The balance of the letting fee is paid 6 weeks prior to the stay.
Rates per week are shown beside each week. If the figure is struck through then the week is unavailable.
Changeovers arrive after 4pm Sat leave by 1pm the following Sat.
Visitors are to bring their own bed linen and towels. Duvet pillows and blankets are provided.
A checklist is provided on another page on this website setting out cleaning requirements. This is an important commitment when considering taking the cottage. If you cannot commit to this aspect of the rental then please do not book.
The use of electricity you use is in your control and we do this to keep the rental cost lower. We only charge you for the amount you actually use and at the same rate we pay for it.
We require a deposit of £200 per week to cover electricity usage, breakages and failure of cleaning at the end of stay. This will be paid at the same time as paying the main fee which is 6 weeks before entry.
Re electricity this will involve you taking a photo of the meter reading at the start and end of your stay and sending that to us and we will deduct that from the £200 when we refund this. The majority of people use between £20-50 per week - but can be significantly more in mid-winter. The balance is refunded within a day or two of you leaving as long as we get the readings. It will also be held pending satisfactory clearance on the condition of the property on arrival of the new guests.
