SPOT SELECTION - Selecting a site to practice is very critical to your success as kiteboarder because you need to learn to maneuver through various shore winds, other beach users and how to watch for objects nearby that could cause you a collision.
SETUP - You will be amazed at how easy it is to setup your kite. You will quickly learn how to inflate the leading edge and struts, secure the kite & attach lines without twists or tangles.
SAFETY SYSTEMS - Before kiting, you need to know how to use all of the different types of safety systems available to help you ride safely and confidently.
PREFLIGHT - Before your flight, check your equipment and settings are ready. This provides quick and easy preflight check points on the harness, chickenloop, safety systems and more!

LAUNCH KITE - Learn to launch a trainer kite with an assistant by understanding how find the right position as well as seeing how to use hand signals to communicate with an assistant.
UNTWIST LINES - Don't panic. This is easy. Learn how it is done while still flying the kite just like an advanced kiter.
DE-POWER - Kiters need to learn to adjust the power using the bar, at mid distance on the center line, so they don't get lifted off their boards in emergency situations where they have been overpowered.
SELF-LANDING - A safe landing for all kiters is what the IKO hopes to instill by demonstrating how to land your kite and climb the lines safely to recover your kite alone as well as how to depower the kite so it falls harmlessly.
