Handicapped Match Play
Format: Match play, handicap vs. handicap. The higher handicapped player will receive the differential in strokes. Example: If a 38 handicap is opposing a 28 handicap, the 38 handicap will receive 10 strokes (1 stroke on "stroke holes" 1 through 10.) Regular club event handicaps will be used.
Cost: $30 entry fee. Prize Pool as follows (approximate):
1st Place: 50%; 2nd Place: 25%; 3rd Place 15%; 4th Place 10%
Players: Brackets will be populated by random draw.
Dates: Individual Event begins in February. No matches will be played in June or August. Any match postponed by OCBA or the host course, will be replayed in its entirety at the next OCBA event. No other reschedules are allowed. Any player absent or unable to complete a match, for any reason, will forfeit that match.
Pairings: Opponents will be paired in the same foursome in each match.
Eligibility: Players must signup and pay by check-in at the designated deadlines, so that brackets may be drawn in advance. Only OCBA members in good standing with valid SCGA handicaps are eligible. (New members who have not played in 5 club events are not eligible.
Ties: If a match is tied after 18 holes… There will be a sudden death playoff beginning at any hole recommended by the course. If the course will not allow additional play, the net scores from the last par 3, the last par 5, and the last two par 4s will be used to determine the winner. If still tied, the net score of the last 3 holes will be used, if still tied, the net score of the last hole will be used. If still tied, the board will determine an appropriate tie breaker.

2013 INDIVIDUAL MATCH PLAY EVENT-- Bill Goodman defeated Frank LoGrasso 3 and 2 in the finals at Mile Square Park Players Course.
2013 2-MAN MATCH PLAY...Due to scheduling conflicts, this years two man match play will have co-champions Goodman/Martin & Leal/Barajas
