Object Design and Fabrication core courses focus on technical proficiency with emerging tools and media for design and fabrication, material experimentation and investigation, interdisciplinary and collaborative problem-solving, and the critical visual and conceptual languages associated to craft, design, art, and technology. Students will explore processes in industry-standard software for computer aided design and 3D modelling, synthesize emerging tools for the planning of projects, practice experimentation and ideation with respect to object making, and get hands-on experience with cutting edge computer numeric controlled tools for fabrication.
