My name is Kalana Senevirathne, a Sub-Intern visiting from Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. I'm interested in all aspects emergency care, and specifically in trauma care, wilderness medicine, and POCUS. Along these interests, I run research projects on suturing medical education and am involved in a start-up for portable hyperbaric oxygen devices for emergency care. Outside of medicine, I love hikes,  dabbling with photography, and badminton. I am super excited to join the NYP-Columbia EM team, and learn from the world class faculty here!
