EVENT INFORMATION
General Competition Information
Students should be prepared with all materials and instruments
Students must travel to and from each event on the bus from NHS, and pick up and drop off is at NHS including Syracuse. Band members are expected to help load and unload the buses/truck.
Competitions: after students perform, the band stays to watch other bands and for the awards ceremony. Departure is as a band after the awards ceremony, and pick up is at NHS.
Depending on the timing, there are times when students will be provided food by volunteer parents, and other times when they will need to pack a lunch or bring money to purchase food at competitions. Click here for information on food needs for the band throughout the season and to volunteer
October 7th East Ramapo
3:30 pm to 8:30 pm; Class A Uniform; Show starts at 6pm, we perform at 6:39 pm; show ends at 8 pm
XXXXX Arlington
9 am - 5pm; Class A Uniform; Show stars at 12pm; we perform at 12pm; show ends at 3pm.
October 22nd Kingston
9 am - 5pm; Class A Uniform; show starts at 1pm; we perform at 1:13pm; show ends at 2:30 pm
Syracuse
The Marching Band trip to Syracuse takes place the last weekend of October. Monday is an EXCUSED absence for ALL band members. Please use the links at the right for more information. See the calendar for specific dates.
SYRACUSE Student non-refundable PAYMENT of $135 will be collected at the Parent INFORMATION MEETING - cash, check (Payable to "Red Storm Band Parent Association" ) or credit card (2.75% processing fee for credit cards).
Payments will also be collected at practice Oct 15& 17.
ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY OCT. 17!
If it is not done already - print out, fill in and sign the Nyack School District Permission Slip for the Syracuse trip.
New York State Field Band Championships in the Syracuse University Carrier Dome:
Admission: $18 For Adults $12 for youth 18 and under and Seniors 60 and older.
