Programme Outline

This will be a workshop to 2nd and 3rd year B.Sc. / Integrated MSc students of India. There will be courses in Foundation, Elementary Number Theory, Analysis and Linear Algebra. The faculty will be active and reputed mathematicians with a commitment to teaching. The aim of this workshop is to show the natural flavor of doing mathematics and encourages independent learning. Please read the aims and objectives of nurture in the home page.

Who can Apply?

Its open to all 2nd and 3rd year B.Sc. / Integrated M.Sc. students or equivalent studying in India. 5-10% seats may be allotted to non-mathematics and other mathematics students. 

How to Apply?

• 1. Fill this online application form. And request one of your mathematics teacher to send soft copy of the recommendation letter (Attached here) by email. You need to login using your gmail account before filing the application form.

1. In case if you don't want to submit the application online, please download and fill the attached (nurture-application.pdf) and also request one of your mathematics teacher who is closely acquainted with you to write a recommendation letter (nurture-recommendation.pdf). Request your recommending teacher to send the soft copy of your application and recommendation letter by email to nurture.1729@gmail.com with subject "nurture-2016 application and recommendation". 

2. We encourage the students to apply using the above google form.

3. The completed application form (online or email) along with the recommendation letter(by email) should reach by May 20, 2017, Saturday 5:00PM May 23 2017, Tuesday 6:00PM

• Last date for application submission: May 20, 2017

• Announcement of Selected candidates: May 25, 2017 

• Confirmation of Participation:May 28, 2017  

• Programme Dates: June 11th-30th 2017

Selection

• The selection will be purely on merit, based on consistently good academic record and the recommendation letter from a mathematics professor closely acquainted with the candidate

• Only selected candidates will be informed (by email) of their selection 

• The list of selected candidates will also be posted on the workshop website. 

• Second sleeper class Travel Allowance may be paid subject to the availability of funds.  Due to paucity of funds we are not providing travel allowance for this workshop. 

• Candidates selected for the programme will be provided free boarding, lodging and reading materials for the duration of the workshop
