1. Research Fellow (Post-Doctoral Position)

We are looking for an outstanding post-doctoral candidate to perform research pertaining to robotic grippers. This project involves designing, modelling, optimization and fabrication of a novel robotic gripper. Applicants with strong background in mechanical design, robotics, optimization techniques or other relevant topics are encouraged to apply.

The candidate is expected to be highly motivated, creative and possess excellent communication skills. He/she should also be independent and has the ability to lead a research project.

Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Strong publication record

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

2. Research Associate

The candidate will help to create a novel robotic gripper. This project involves designing, modelling, fabrication, and characterization of this gripper. Applicants with a strong background in mechanical engineering, robotics, or other relevant topics are encouraged to apply.

The candidate is expected to be highly motivated, creative and possess excellent communication skills. He/she should also be able to work independently.

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

3. Research Associate

The candidate will help to create a novel soft robotic gripper. This project involves designing, modelling, fabrication, and characterization of this soft gripper. Applicants with a strong background in mechanical engineering, robotics, or other relevant topics are encouraged to apply.

The candidate is expected to be highly motivated, creative and possess excellent communication skills. He/she should also be able to work independently.

4. Ph.D. Student

The candidate will conduct theoretical and experimental research on soft robots – a new generation of robots that have the potential to enable unprecedented functionalities. This candidate will be expected to design, model, optimize and fabricate soft robots. Applicants with strong background in the areas of mechanical design, robotics, or other relevant topics are encouraged to apply.

The candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills, and also the ability to work independently.

  • Good Honours Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
