Descendants of Bryce and Jane Russell
Bryce Russell (1) and Jane Thompson had ten children: Hugh, George, Rachel, Isabella Helena, Bryce Jr., Jane, Mary, Andrew, Joseph, and James R. Hugh, George, Rachel, and Isabella Helena were born before 1757, because they are named in their grandfather Hugh Thompson's will of that year.
I have only one firm birthdate for any of them--that of my 4g-grandfather, James R. Russell (2), who was born November 2, 1771. James married Anne Bryant about 1790. They had eleven children. From them my line continues as follows:
(3) Andrew Russell, b. October 19, 1793, m. Elizabeth Birdwell on March 15, 1814, in Knox Co., Tennessee. They had ten children.
(4) James Larkin Russell, b. January 28, 1815, in Tennessee, m. Susan Clarissa Copeland in 1839 in Benton Co., Arkansas. They had nine children.
(5) Alexander Craig Russell, b. December 28, 1851, in Benton Co., Arkansas, m. Louisa Emmeline Mangum on June 5, 1873, in Whitesboro, Grayson Co., Texas. They had twelve children.
(6) Georgie Eunice Russell, b. January 8, 1891, near Floresville, Wilson Co., Texas, m. James Barton Atkinson on March 29, 1908, in San Saba Co., Texas. Georgie was my mother's mother.
