Available software for use on your home computer will be available from a lot of sites. Some of those sites will be strictly devoted to providing software and others include software as just part of their websevice. Good software doesn't have to be expensive and free software can be very good so check the reviews and try the free ones before you spend your money. Ask your fellow genealogists for their recommendations. Remember that if you store all your records online at a subscription site that it will be unavailable to you if you no longer have a subscription. ALWAYS download a backup of your results. The following programs allow you to display your trees if you have connected them to your results using GEDCOM data or sometimes they directly link to a site like Ancestry or Family Search. Once you have your data installed you are free to update and insert new data. You can also simply start from zero and use them to build your tree. Find the one that suits your needs.
