All Package Car Drivers are eligible to submit eight hour requests regardless of years of service.
Submit your request to management no later than the start of your shift on the fifth (5th) calendar day preceding the requested date. On the fifth (5th) calendar day preceding the day being requested management will review submitted requests and approve or deny them based on seniority. A signed copy of the request form stating approval or disapproval shall be returned to the employee by the end of the employee’s next working day.
How to calculate your maximum stops for an 8 hour day
*SPORH (Stops per on road hour) from the WOR includes both delivery and pickup stops. Your stops are divided into the hours you were actually on road and does not include your time for pre and post trips. SPORH should be determined by using an average day on your route. This Calculation is an estimate: any circumstances other than average on the actual day of the 8 hours request should be taken into account and the stops adjusted accordingly.
