I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Galway, Ireland, where I work on the Horizon Europe RAPIDE project, and an Adjunct Faculty member at the Sri Innovation and Research Foundation, a data innovation and research organisation in Ghaziabad, India. My current work focuses on modelling healthcare systems using system dynamics, discrete-event simulation, and hybrid simulation approaches to support pandemic preparedness, health-system planning, and resilience under stress.
I received my PhD in Physics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where I worked on nonlinear dynamics and complex systems. My broader research interests include deterministic and stochastic mathematical modelling, infectious disease dynamics, ecological interactions, healthcare systems modelling, and data-driven decision support.
A unifying theme of my work is the study of complexity and resilience across biological, epidemiological, and health-system contexts. One strand of my research examines how ecological complexity, biodiversity, environmental variability, and intervention strategies influence the spread and persistence of infectious diseases. Another focuses on translating ideas from complex systems and simulation modelling into practical tools for understanding healthcare bottlenecks, service backlogs, patient flow, and adaptive responses during periods of crisis.
Overall, my work aims to connect mathematical modelling, simulation, and public health decision-making to better understand how complex systems behave under stress and how they can be made more resilient.
