I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Galway, Ireland, working on the Horizon Europe RAPIDE project, and an Adjunct Faculty member at the Sri Innovation and Research Foundation (a data innovation and research organization) in Ghaziabad, India. My current work focuses on modelling healthcare systems using system dynamics and discrete-event simulation, with the aim of supporting data-driven pandemic preparedness policies and strengthening health-system resilience under stress.
I received my PhD in Physics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where I worked on nonlinear dynamics and complex systems. My research interests span deterministic and stochastic mathematical modelling, applied to infectious-disease dynamics, ecological interactions, and healthcare system behaviour.
The unifying theme of my work is the study of complexity and resilience, from disease transmission processes to the functioning of healthcare systems. One strand of my research examines how biodiversity, ecological complexity, and climate variability influence the spread and persistence of infectious diseases. Another focuses on translating insights from complex-systems behaviour into the design of adaptive and resilient healthcare systems capable of withstanding and recovering from stress.
