Games may be played in inclement weather provided there is no lightning in the area and field conditions remain safe.
Lightning policy: clear the fields and send players, coaches and spectators back to their cars. If you opt to resume the game, you may do so one-half hour after the last lightning is observed.
Coaches and Directors should consider having a lightning alarm app on their phone to help with decision-making.
5/6 and 7/8 games: in the absence of unsafe conditions or lightning, you should lean towards playing the games. Ultimately it is the decision of the two teams/towns as to whether to cancel or postpone. A plan should be made to make up the game in the event of a cancellation.
2/4 games: with younger kids, you need to consider the overall experience. If it will be a miserable day for the kids, just cancel.
FOR ALL CANCELLATIONS - DO NOT FORGET TO LET THE UMPIRES KNOW BEFORE THEY COME OUT!
