A Cryomilling Nanoparticle Preparation Avenue
In metallic nanoparticle preparation cryomilling helps many ways.
Nanoparticles always native surface because low temperature reduces the rate of oxidation
At low temperature, the cold welding phenomena suppressed, which help for ultra refining of nanoparticles
Due to supression in cold welding, the nanoparticles can be synthesized in short time, which reduces the debris from the milling tools.
The nanoparticles are ultrarefined (<10 nm) and can be dispersed or stabilized in polar solvent.
Cryomilling does not leave any toxic waste so this technique is Green synthesis technique.
