Nicholas Sheard

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.  My research is primarily in urban, regional, real estate, and transportation economics and I focus on questions with policy relevance.

The main theme of my research is in estimating the economic effects of transport infrastructure, using data on the US and Norway.  I have also written papers that test the arguments for airport consolidation and that study the geographical scope of individual airport markets.
