My newest paper on quantifying variation in the teeth of the horses from the John Day Formation came out today online early in the Journal of Paleontology! I used two different methods to look at the variation in the length and width of horse teeth and I tested to see if a diagnostic character on the chewing surfaces of the teeth was correlated with wear.Â
