Nicholas Butzin, assistant professor in South Dakota State University's Department of Biology and Microbiology, has been awarded a five-year, $1.3 million grant through the National Science Foundation's Faculty Early Career Development Program.
This workshop was funded by NSF, award number 1922542.
To goal was to engage K-12 educators in an immersive, professional development workshop, where they will gain skills in synthetic biology through hands-on experiences and lesson plan preparation.
