Check out the 55th Reunion page (see left side bar). Did you attend? Make sure your name is on the Attendee List. Take photos? Send your photos (digital or print) to Jym Clendenin, who will post them with the others. Help identify people in the photos.

Will there be a 60th reunion? What would you like? Here are some ideas being discussed:

1. Team up with classes of '56 and '58. This might result in a reunion 3 years in a row.

2. A dinner/harbor tour on Spirit of Norfolk. This may be expensive, also provides a limited amount of time for interaction.

3. Another hotel-based Fri-Sat reunion. This provides a central place for out-of-towners to stay and meet as well as a convenient place for the official reunion activities. Over the years we've used hotels in a variety of locations. Having a hotel in an urban context, such as downtown Norfolk or Viriginia Beach near the water or perhaps Town Center, offer some advantages, especially for out-of-towners.

4. Skip the hotels, just reserve a room at a decent restaurant for a sit down meal on Sat evening. This would probably be cheaper than a catered buffet in a hotel meeting room. It should be possible to arrange for bar service, or those interested could meet early at the restaurant bar.

5. On Sept 23, 2012, John Allsbrook (Class of '56) posted the following message: Jym, in response to your reunion post: At our 55th last year (Class of 56), we had a Saturday afternoon luncheon with over 70 in attendance. Some traveled from as far away as California and Alabama. We agreed to meet every year for lunch and will do so again on Oct 13, 2012. So far 68 have signed up (55 classmates and 23 spouses). I am maintaining a directory with current contact info for over 200, including 102 email addresses, and we have recorded the deaths of 72 (I believe there are more). Class size was about 320, so we account for about 85%. Getting the word out has been relatively easy. A luncheon is a lot less work and the restaurant gives us separate checks, so no money is required in advance. Actually, 3 of the spouses were also classmates, so that makes it 58 classmates attending.

Update (2/10/2017): We've decided on option 5 above. See email_3 on the 60th Reunion page.

Other information requested:

1. Help us keep the Deceased list up to date. If you send Jym Clendenin a link (from, say, a newspaper) to an obituary, he will add it to the deceased's name. Alternatively, just send Jym a photocopy of an obituary (make sure name of newspaper and date is indicated). In particular, an obituary for Lloyd Jones is being sought.

2. Photographs old or new, digital or print, of Norview HS and neighborhood, classmates, or anything relevant.
