Varsity Rules:

• Run Ahead Rule- 12 runs after 5 innings. The run rule will go into effect after 4.5 innings if the home team is ahead by 12 runs. 

• Time Limit- None 

JV Rules:

• All JV games will be seven (7) innings.  If double headers are needed they will be five (5) inning double headers. 

• No JV game will start a new inning after two (2) hours has elapsed. 

• The Niagara Orleans JV teams have an option of the following run ahead rules:

  • They may choose to only allow 5 runs per inning

  • They may choose to use the Varsity run ahead rule of 12 runs at the conclusion of 5 innings unless the home team is ahead after 4.5 innings.

  • Both teams must declare at the ground rules which run ahead rule they will be using. If one coach would like to use the 5 runs per inning rule then both coaches are required to use the 5 runs per inning rule. The default is the 5 runs per inning
