GATA Tournaments

GATA Fall- 

GATA Fall is an early tournament that uses slightly easier-than-usual questions to help new teams get into the game, as well as more experienced players who need to "shake off the rust". It may also contain a novice division for inexperienced teams to compete against each other.

GATA Trash Team Tournament (Pop Culture)

GATA Trash is a fun mid-year tournament that will test players' knowledge on past and current popular culture. We will roll out the debut of the GATA Trash set, which will be play tested at the Munson Memorial Open in August beforehand. 

GATA Winter- 

GATA Winter is a mid-year event with questions of more traditional difficulty. It has multiple divisions and like the fall tournament, is divided between a north, metro and south location to accommodate the geography of the state.

GATA Nationals (Div. II College SCT Set)

SS/HSNCT qualified teams have first honor to register, then we may open it up to more teams- Apr 17, 2027 @ Commerce HS.

GATA Tournament fees:

All GATA events: $80 per team (please contact GATA if there are ever any circumstances), $70 for each additional team (limit of four teams for Fall and Winter, 2 for JV and 1 for Varsity. GNATS is based on SS/HSNCT qualification). 

GNATS will be $85 for the first team and $75 for each team that has qualified for the NCTs.

*For 2027 MS States only: $80 entry fee is waived for the first team *if* teams bring a worker/reader. If not, the fee is $80. Second team fee still applies if two teams or more teams are registered

Discounts: -$10 for one reader and -$20 for two readers.         -$10 for out of state teams (GNATS only)

+GATA Fall Metro will consist of schools located in these counties (based on the ATL Regional Commission's definition of Metro ATL). If the Metro site is closer than the North or South sites and you're outside this map's boundaries, please contact GATA before registering.
