12 of OUR DEFINING DOCTRINES
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. God inspired it and it is therefore the all sufficient rule of faith.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal.
(Matthew 28:19, John 1:1, 10:30
14:9-18)
We believe that God not evolution created the world and all that is in it.
(Genesis 1; 2; Colossians 1:15 – 17)
We believe that Jesus was and is God come in the flesh ; born of a virgin.
(Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:26 - 2:39)
We believe that every Man, Woman, Boy and Girl are sinners or people that have done wrong.
(Genesis 3; Romans 3:10-12; 3:23; 5:12)
We believe that out of love Jesus came in the flesh and gave mankind a gift when He paid the price for humanity’s sin on the cross at Calvary.
(John 3:16; Mark 15:32 1 Corinthians 1:18; Hebrews 12:2)
We believe that as with any gift the only way to receive it is by accepting it. To accept the gift of forgiveness and eternal life all one has to do is repent of their sin and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
(Romans 10:9-10; Luke 23:32-43)
OUR DEFINING DOCTRINES
We believe that sinners are saved by grace through faith in Jesus. Nothing else has saving power – not works, baptism, communion, church membership – only by accepting the gift that Jesus offers can any person ever be saved from the eternal fire.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 16:23 – 34)
We believe that those people who do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior during their lifetime will perish in Hell for eternity.
(John 3:16-18; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 20:10-15)
We believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion (GOING ALL THE WAY UNDER) in water of a believer by the proper administrator and by the authority of a New Testament Church. While baptism does not save you it does declare that you are ready to walk in the ways of Jesus and not the ungodly.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:12; Romans 6:1-10)
We believe that the Lord’s Supper (Communion) is a memorial ordinance, restricted to members of that local church observing the ordinance.
(1 Corinthians 11:1-2, 17-20, 26; Revelation 2-3)
We believe that Jesus established His Church during His personal ministry. There has been a lineage ever since.
(Matthew 4:18-22; 16:18; Ephesians 3:21)
