The New Arrivals Institute is continually looking for dedicated interns wishing to positively impact the newly arrived refugees and immigrants in our community. Possible internship opportunities:
- Teach English to a small group, 2-5 students
- Assist an instructor in an adult ESOL class
- Assist an instructor in an early childhood class
- Serve as an interpreter and/or translator
- Assist with clerical and administrative work
- Develop ESOL, cultural orientation or employment readiness materials
- Teach cultural orientation to newly arrived refugees and immigrants
- Teach employment readiness classes
- Provide outreach to local agencies and organizations with a goal of developing new and strengthening current partnerships
- Help organize a fundraiser or donations drive
