No Bake Cookies

All the things that are right in this world are found on Route 2 in Nahunta, Georgia. This is where life with Aunt Tootsie and Uncle Cliff began and will never end. One of my best memories was a simple cookie that Aunt Tootsie used to make. I stumbled across the cookie recipe, shared by my best friend Chuck T and his family. Ladies and gentlemen, madame and monsieur, I present to you, the no-bake:

2 cups of sugar

4 tbs cocoa

1 stick butter

1 cup peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla

3 cups oatmeal

1/2 cup milk

In a saucepan combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. On medium heat, bring to a boil for one full minute.

Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal.

Drop by spoonful onto wax paper. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.
