Thank you to all of the 71, 939 students who read the Golden Sower Award nominees this year and voted for their favorite book.  And also a big THANK YOU to all of the teachers, media specialists and librarians who promoted the books in their schools and libraries.  You help make the program a success!

Kathy Schultz

Chair, Golden Sower Award Committee

***Recent changes adopted by the Golden Sower Award Committee:

1. Children may vote in more than one level if they do the required reading.

2. When suggesting titles for consideration for the nominee lists, readers will be limited to five suggestions per level per year. This will help to keep the reading lists to a manageable size, allowing more titles to be read by the majority of our readers, and thereby giving us a more accurate measure of exceptional titles. Please keep in mind: You may only nominate titles that you have read - ones that are truly exceptional.
