Teaching Experience:

Twenty years (20 years) teaching experience in the Department of Chemistry at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Majitar, Rangpo, Pin - 737136 (East-Sikkim). Presently working as Associate Director (Student Affairs) and Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, SMIT, Sikkim.

Research Experience:

5 years in the area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Natural Product Chemistry at CSIR - North-East Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat (former RRL, Jorhat-785006, CSIR, Govt. of India) Assam, India.

Supervised more than 30 M. Sc. research project as on date.

Published / presented number of research papers in international / national journals and conferences.

Presently 4 students are working for Ph.D. degree under his supervision (supervisor / Co-supervisor).

2. “Isolation of Phytochemicals as pest control agents from the plants of the meliaceae family of Sikkim Himalayan region” [2012-13] Funded by AICTE, Govt of India No. 20/AICTE/RIFD/RPS (POLICY - 1) 13/2012-13 dated 28th November 2012. (Rs. 11.6 lakh). (Duration 03 years) – Completed.
