Impact

Please visit my University of Exeter Business School homepage for research updates.

I was the Lead Investigator for a REF 2021 impact study (UOA17 Business and Management Studies) on "Designing and implementing a digital platform to reduce A&E peak time demand across the South West". The work led to the development of the NHS Quicker platform, a real-time solution informing attendance choices for urgent care. It was awarded the UK Operational Research Society's Lyn Thomas Impact Medal award for 2022. As of January 2023, NHSquicker receives data from all acute hospital trusts in Devon and Cornwall and one Trust in Somerset. It receives real-time data from 26 centres for urgent care, including seven emergency departments.
