Musical: Piano (since 1997), trombone/euphonium (since 2002), guitar (since 2003), marching percussion (since 2007), alto saxophone (since 2010), violin (since 2011). Perfect pitch (able to recognize pitches). Large ensemble rehearsal skills including conducting, error detection and rectification, teaching strategies for difficult passages, and expressive direction. Marching percussion pedagogy and techniques. Popular/rock guitar pedagogy. Music theory topics from fundamental elements to tonal harmony to modern music techniques. Big band and Latin/Afro-Cuban jazz experience. Arranging/composition for various instrumentations.

Technology: Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Powerpoint), Prezi, Garageband, Logic, Audacity. Web design abilities using WYSIWYG editors and HTML. Live sound reinforcement and recording techniques. Advanced skill in navigating both Windows and Macintosh OS environments.
