I am an experienced teaching practitioner in computing and maths education and educational technology. I teach mobile software development, logic and discrete maths, complex systems engineering, spatial information programming, research methods and transport engineering. My units are innovative and are constantly evolving with new assessment and learning techniques, providing valuable experiences for students and tutors.
Alongside this, I have been fascinated by how we will travel in the future and how we can explore these scenarios in the present day using novel simulation and data analysis techniques, having worked on problems in public and private transport, flexible transport, and logistics. The skills I have acquired from these projects inform my teaching and software development work.
During 2025-26 I served as the Academic Director, Work-Integrated Learning in the School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies, until the role was merged into the new Associate Dean roles. This leadership role involved supporting the delivery of placement units , the cohesive integration of work-integrated learning into the curriculum across the School, and developing relationships with industry partners.
