Near Space High Altitude Balloon (HAB) Project
This was a research and educational high altitude balloon (HAB) project, where 3 MD and DC organizations came together with the purpose of testing new near-space technology. The Attitude Adjuster payload is an experiment to see how well a hobby-scale Control Moment Gyro (CMG) pair can fight back against torsional forces to maintain attitude control of a low mass payload. We also taught middle school students about basic balloon launching as part of the HAB program. The HAB was launched in April 2018. https://spaceblimp.org/join/
