Who are the Resort Hosts at Nakiska Ski Resort?
Nakiska's mission is to to provide our guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible.
Resort Hosts (commonly referred to as Snow Hosts) at Nakiska Ski Resort, part of the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) family, are a highly dedicated group of volunteers who strive to provide guests with a friendly skiing atmosphere and an enjoyable day at the slopes. When visitors arrive at Circle Drive to drop off family, friends or equipment, the Resort Host team is there to help with temporary drop-off parking, moving skis and bags to racks or, yes, even tell you where the coffee and bathrooms are! When visitors are looking for ticketing, equipment rentals, food & beverage services, lost and found or merely need information, just ask a (Resort) Host in a bright yellow jacket and black ski pants. Resort Hosts volunteer their time at Circle Drive for three hours per day, interacting with guests as they arrive and depart the resort. In between shifts, Hosts are encouraged to take advantage of what Nakiska Ski Resort and the slopes of Mount Allan have to offer.
Nakiska Resort Hosts have been assisting guests for over 30 years. Hosts must be a minimum of 18 years of age to volunteer their time and currently range in age from early 20’s to early 80’s, come from many nationalities, backgrounds and from across Alberta. All have a love of the outdoors, enjoy meeting new people from around the world and have a passion for snow sports. What better way to enjoy the surroundings and beauty of the majestic Canadian Rockies than to become a Resort Host.
