Text pages are areas
-to store knowledge created by the class in the forms of summaries, ideas on themes, conversations, etc. about a specific text,
-where conversations and meaning-making can occur,
-where assessments can be made about student understanding, e.g., in the form of responses to "insight questions."
Much of the content on these pages is inspired by Mark Isero,of iserotope.com and iseroma.com
Parents can keep track of what is going on in the class generally through the newsletter page, but these text pages provide them with more detailed insight into what we are discussing in class. By reading through the text pages and the suggested discussion questions, parents can prepare themselves for meaningful conversations with their children about what they are learning in school.
