Doing these lecture study guides at the same time or prior to our in class lectures was a very helpful tactic that helped me maintain focus, and retain the harder to grasp concepts. I'd be unsure about things like the Krebs cycle or what enzymes and coenzymes even do until I got home and created my page lecture study guides. They allow me to view quick concepts and carefully review terms I missed in class. It's a lot easier to understand your own definitions rather then reading a more scientific explanation out of your book all the time. After awhile of just reading the same information over and over I felt like writing it down helped me memorize terms more effectively. Overall I think the amount of work it took to make the lecture study guides doubled up my study time and really helped me do well in this class. This is something I could use for any subject I'm struggling in or really want to get down.
