History 1700

At first I wasn’t looking forward to this assignment because I felt like it could just be busy work so there was an extra thing to grade. However I was pleasantly surprised after completing my research project for history. I learned a lot about the history of our country, and really enjoyed doing it. I appreciated the freedom of being able to choose from such a wide range of options. Although I chose jazz it turned out to be an even more interesting subject than I thought it was going to be. Ella Fitzgerald was truly an inspirational person to get to know.

The project also really helped me with my writing techniques. Even if I don’t get the best grade I’ve ever gotten from this writing assignment. I feel more confident in being able to find resources on future topics because of this project. I know where to go for reliable sources as well as a better eye for spotting out terrible ones. I appreciate the skills that I feel like I’ve acquired and tuned thanks to this class and assignment.
