August 2012: Paint Restoration

The paint is covered in what looks like cracks in the clear coat. It was also heavily oxidized and there was any gloss or shine left to it. Regular washing and waxing had no impact. So, from Adam's Polish I ordered a complete Machine Polish System, including the Three-Step Machine Polish Bundle, Super Sealant and Brilliant Glaze, Carnauba Paste Wax and the various polishing pads as well as the 4" FOCUS pads. In addition, I also purchased the Makita machine polisher (more about that in the "Tools" section.

The results - the oxidation was removed and the car glows like new! I definitely think the how-to video's on the Adam's site are terrific for a beginner like myself. Take you step-by-step on how to use the products. However, the cracks in the clear coat didn't come out.

November 2014

The OEM wheels were showing their age, and the tires needed to be replaced. Purchased Continental Extreme Contact DW tires and Saber Machined w/Black Accent wheels. The combination looks great on the Probe and seems to handle well though I have yet to really push them to their limits.
