Little by size, huge by the sound-stage. Listening to these little boxes, even before the break-in period, brings very positive musical feeling. Songs like Calling Elvis from Dire Straits, or similar genres, outline the live spirit of the aluminum Aura sound drivers. The music is reasonably fast and clean and the drivers are not afraid to fill the room with pleasant vocals. Of course the lack of low frequencies is significant, but considering the size of the 3-inch drivers and the internal volume of just under 1 liter, the sound is just amazing. The frequency range above the 14kHz is also loosing a crisp, however, this is a natural behavior of a full range single dome driver of such size. Within the mechanical limits of the driver, the box is virtually non-resonant. I used 3/4 inch thick oak wood panels, that were glued together and covered by multiple layers of paint. The Supra cables are responsible for delivering the sinus waves in efficient and transparent manner, while gold plated binding posts are ensuring a reliable connection for a long time in the future. ophichus@gmail.com
