The addition (2018) to my modest audio setup is very plain and simple. It is basically a volume attenuator, made from a single stereo ladder type potentiometer TKD 2CP 601. Manufactured by Japanese company - TOKYO KO-ON DENPA CO., LTD, the 600 series is the entry level with a price tag of approx. 40 €. It uses a laser trimmed conductive plastic with a matching accuracy of 0.6db.
Going from the left: black aluminum knob, attached to a silver aluminum shaft, secured by 2 screws to a brass tube, connected to the brass shaft of the TKD attenuator which is mounted on a silver aluminum holder, bolted to the bottom aluminum plate. Silver wire + silver containing solder + gold plated CMC RCA connectors. What else do you need?
