2 MWVMS Midwest Regional

Here are some excerpts from the email that match director Dave Todd sent out the day after the 2019 MWVMS Midwest Regional match.

MWVMShooters,

Great match yesterday,  and... what a performance by our 87.75 year old competitor ... the 2019 MWVMS Regional Grand Aggregate Winner ... Dallas Walker.  His performance was just one point off of the all time Regional Match record.  And yes, it helped propel his Indiana team, ToadStool Shooters to the 2019 MWMMS Regional State Team Championship.  Thanks to all who participated and braved a bit of emergency tent setup and light rain (and therefore near perfect atmospheric conditions for a high scoring day at the range).

Always the most popular of the MWVMS matches, the Midwest Regional draws top shooters from all over the Midwest.  The canopies proved useful since there was light rain for over an hour.

Awards presented by match director Dave Todd.

Factory first place Dallas Walker

Custom first place David Geier

Aggregate first place Dallas Walker

The Toadstool Shooters won the team match.

The One Shot Challenge was won by Ron Goodger on practice day, fired at 100 yards the day before the match.

This is one of only 8 perfect, 50-5X 100 yard targets fired at MWVMS matches since it was introduced in 2011.  Two were fired at this match; this one by Ron Goodger and another by Tom Kennedy.  Conditions were so good at this match that an unprecedented eight 50 point, 100 yard targets were shot in custom class, but only two with five Xs.
