About Me:

I received Ph. D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Center for Security, Theory and Algorithmic Research of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, India. According to DQ-CMR T-Schools Survey of 2024 IIIT Hyderabad has achieved first rank in the country. I also received B. E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kumaon Engineering College, Dwarahat, Uttarakhand, India, and M. Tech. degree in CSE (with specialization in Computer Network Engineering) from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India. Currently, I am working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India. I am also the Head of Cyber security and IoT research group at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, India. Prior to this, I was working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka, India. I was also a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cyber Security and Networks Lab at Innopolis University, Innopolis, Russia. I received the University Gold Medal in my master's degree and also awarded as the "Young Scientist" by USSTC (UCOST), Department of Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand, India. I have published 186 research papers in international journals and conferences. That also includes 105 Science Citation Index (SCI)/Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and 51 IEEE Transactions/IEEE Journal/IEEE Magazine publications. Moreover, I filed 16 patents. From that list, 07 patents have been granted. My research interests include Information Security, Quantum Security, Authentication, Access Control, Intrusion detection System, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud/fog/edge Computing, Big Data, and Blockchain. I am also the Associate Editor of Security and Privacy Journal (Wiley) (IF: 2.1). I was also the Associate Editor of IET Communications Journal and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. I am the member of various research organizations such as British Computer Society, IEEE, IEEE Cybersecurity Community, IEEE Cloud Computing Community, IEEE Biometrics Council, IEEE Council on RFID, IEEE Sensors Council and IEEE Smart Cities Community.
