2024

[Mar.]  Our three projects proposed by our undergraduate students have been decided to be supported by TUBITAK 2209-A and TUBITAK 2209-B. 

2023

[Oct.] It has been decided that our application with our undergraduate students (Erdem Can, Yaprak Kaya, Zeynep Yildirim) for the LIFT UP project titled "Development of Optimal Task Sharing Algorithm and Agent Communication Language for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Swarms" will be among the LIFT UP projects planned to be launched.

[Sep.] Our two projects which are related to UAV systems proposed by our undergraduate students Emine AYDIN, Ezgi KARADUMAN, Mustafa Sait BASAK, Alperen SARI, and Sercan KOSE have been decided to be supported by TUBITAK-2209 A.

[Jul.] Our three papers have been accepted by IEEE SIU'23, one is related to NOMA, the other one to OTFS, and lastly to IRS.

[Mar.] As part of the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Informatics Institute, Information and Communications Engineering Department Ph.D. student Hakan Alakoca's thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lutfiye Durak-Ata, and their research within the scope of TUBITAK 1001 project entitled "Ultra-Connectivity for 6G Wireless Communications: UAV and Intelligent Reflective Surface Enabled Heterogeneous Network Design" has been published in IEEE Communications Magazine with the title "Metasurface Manipulation Attacks: Potential Security Threats of RIS-Aided 6G Communications" in January 2023. This article was deemed worthy of being featured among the top publications, IEEE Best Readings covering the last 5 years (2018-2023) in the field of physical layer security for 6G networks by the IEEE Communications Society.

In the article published in IEEE Communications Magazine researchers, Hakan Alakoca, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Namdar, Assoc. Prof. Sultan Aldirmaz-Colak, Dr. Mehmet Başaran, Asst. Prof. Arif Basgumus, Prof. Dr. Lutfiye Durak-Ata, and Prof. Dr. Halim Yanikomeroglu studied various physical layer security vulnerabilities for signal processing mechanisms on intelligent reflective surfaces in 6G networks.

These selected articles in the field of physical layer security in 6G networks belong to distinguished studies that identify possible new problems related to communication technologies, propose innovative solutions, and shape future innovations worldwide.

2022

[May] MSc Thesis defenses by Maide Sultan Ardic, Abdulkadir Guney, and Fatih Kocak on May 30th, 2022. Congratulations to Maide, Abdulkadir, and Fatih for successfully defending their MSc Theses.

[May.] Our project which is related to deep learning, proposed by our undergraduate students Cenk Berkan Deligoz and Feride Seymen has been decided to be supported by TUBITAK-2209 A.

[Apr.] Our paper has been accepted by IEEE SIU'22. Congratulations to our BSc students, Erdem, Cenk, and Feride.

2021

[Nov.] Our projects both are related to UAV communication, proposed by our undergraduate students Ege OZBAY, Salih Tekin, Murat GOK have been decided to be supported by TUBITAK-2209 A.

[Oct.] Our papers have been accepted by IEEE ISMSIT'21. Congratulations to our BSc students, Erdem, Zehra, and Yunus. 

[Aug.] Our paper entitled "Ergodic Capacity Analysis of the Relay Assisted Downlink NOMA Systems in Cognitive Radio Networks" has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Design.

[Jul.] Our paper entitled "Iterative Interference Alignment with Spatial Hole Sensing in MIMO Cognitive Radio Networks" has been accepted for publication in Annals of Telecommunications.    

[Jun.] MSc Thesis defense by Fatma Kebire Bardak on June 30th, 2021. Congratulations to Fatma Kebire for successfully defending her MSc Thesis. 

[May] Our project entitled "Deep Learning-Based Object Detection and Recognition of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" proposed by our undergraduate students Erdem Bayhan and Zehra Ozkan has been decided to be supported by TUBITAK-2209 A.

[May] Our paper has been accepted by IEEE HORA'21 Congress.

[Apr.] Our paper entitled "BER Performance Comparison of AF and DF Assisted Relay Selection Schemes in Cooperative NOMA Systems" has been accepted by IEEE BlackSeaCom 2021.   

[Apr.] Our papers have been accepted by IEEE SIU'21, one on NOMA and the other on ML.     

2020

[Nov.] Our project entitled "Ultra-Connectivity for 6G Wireless Communications: UAV and Intelligent Reflective Surface Enabled Heterogeneous Network Design" has been decided to be supported by the grant (TUBITAK-1001) offered by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.    

[Oct.] Two papers prepared by our students have been accepted by IEEE ISMSIT'20, one on D2D communication and the other on IoT. Congratulations to Meryem, Muhammed, Fatih, and Ragip.

[Sep.] Our paper entitled "Performance Comparison of Interference Mitigation Methods in Device-to-Device Communication" has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Engineering Sciences and Design.

[Aug.] MSc Thesis defense by Meryem Taser and Merve Ucar-Gul on August 21st, 2020. Congratulations to Meryem and Merve for successfully defending their MSc Theses.

[Jul.] Our MSc student, Fatma Kebire Bardak has been awarded a scholarship for 2210-C Priority Areas Domestic Master Scholarship Programme of TUBITAK-BIDEB

[Jun.] Our paper entitled "Performance Analysis of Two-Way AF Relaying System with the Presence of Hardware Impairments over Nakagami-m Fading  Channels" has been accepted for publication in IET Communications.

[Feb.] Our paper entitled "Performance Analysis of NOMA Systems in Relay-Assisted Cognitive Radio Networks" has been accepted by IEEE 28th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (IEEE SIU2020).

[Feb.] Our paper entitled "Feedback Channel Effect on the Performance of Interference Alignment" has been accepted by IEEE 28th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (IEEE SIU2020).
