Worked as MEU Coordinator and improvised all teachers to deliver contents in a suitable way to teach which is one of the most important in TL methodology. As ME chairman I have improvised Covid curriculum in our syllabus in 2021. I have worked as co-author and published more than 37 peer reviewed journal articles, 1book, filed 2 patents (Application Number: 201741037438 & 201741037439), and presentations in scientific conferences of both National and International and many medals. I had also submitted various research projects such as UGC, DST, ICMR, DBT, TNSCST.

I have sound and jolly good experience in accreditation process as NABL assessor, NABH Coordinator, AMR Committee Leader, UGC 12(B), NAAC and NIRF and also worked and successfully obtained accreditation for the institute in which I worked. As student’s coordinator, student’s counsellor and Head of redressal committee I know the student’s psychology, how they will be motivated and how they should be trained to do any research activity and community project and at the same time how to sustain the projects.

I feel my best asset is the quality of mingling with the community, friendly nature, concern for healthy life and motivation for infection free society and implementation of the same through the younger generation of the student community. These will be the steps for my success. My interest in developing students as EPI and Competently strong will be supplemented by my perseverance and endurance which will be the steps for my success. I joined PSMC in May 1999 and have had a keen interest in Onco-pathology, with nearly 9-10 month of training at Tata Memorial Hospital(TMH) in the year 2000 which was also followed by the PB Desai -UICC Fellowship in Oncopathology at (TMH) IN 2005. I was the Head of the Laboratory Services and Blood Bank from 2004 to 2018. As Head of the Central Diagnostic Laboratory there was a distinct focus on Quality and expansion of services, which was demonstrated through NABL standards for laboratory accreditation. Since then(2010) I have been Chief of Quality (in different capacities) at Shree Krishna Hospital and enjoy disseminating the same.

I have enjoyed the following key engagements pertaining to Quality & Patient Safety in my professional career:

Key role in implementation of various accreditation standards for the hospital [NABL, NABH(HCO, Blood Centre, imaging services, and nursing excellence)].

I have nearly 30 publications (6 on Quality). I am the Convener of Curriculum sub committee on Patient Safety and Quality in undergraduate medical curriculum at Pramukhswami Medical College. Member of Technical Committee of NABH(since 2020). I have also been a Member of Expert Group for 4th edition of NABH standards and 2nd edition of Medical Laboratory Standards.
