Beach Plants

One of the major goals of my dissertation work was to catalog the plants found on California's beaches. I also sought to understand how people change the species composition, and how plants hold sand in place. I sampled at 17 beaches along the coast using traditional methods commonly found in phytosociology studies, particularly following the methods described by Michael Barbour and his colleagues in their studies from the mid 1970s.I am currently in the process of publishing my findings.
