The MTFOA is now incorporated, and our official name is Massachusetts Track and Field Association, Inc.
Thank you to all the members who attended the Annual October Meeting last Thursday and many thanks to the staff at Reggie Lewis for hosting. The meeting was recorded for all of you who couldn’t attend and will be posted on our website. A big thank you to Justin Kuo for recording the meeting.
Steve Vaitones has mentioned if you want to get experience in working with all aspects of officiating, work a USATF youth meet or a masters meet. Feel free to reach out to Steve- svaitones@usatfne.org for additional information.
Bob Muldoon has officially taken over the reins as Treasurer from Don Kirkland. Bob will inform us once the 2024-2025 High School and NCAA Collegiate rule books arrive for distribution. You can access the rule book on line to review before the indoor season begins at https://www.usatf.org/governance/rule-books.
All members need to go on- line at the MIAA.org, register for background check and take/renew the SAFESPORT course mandatory for all coaches and officials. Certification/Recertification with USATF is required every 4 years. Steve Vaitones will be conducting classes to assist you with the core requirements of certification. Details to follow.
Passes for parking at Reggie Lewis will be issued upon approval from RCC. We will try to get them to you before the first meet. More information will be provided once we hear back from RCC.
